I am off to Vancouver. Having successfully navigated through the near disatorous traffic accident at the intersection of I-85 and I-385, I made Delta Flight 5069 in just the nick of time. It didn't help that the very nice, very extra-large African American TSA agent saw my USA Curling jacket and wanted a full explanation of the sport. He initiated said conversation by approaching me very slowly, looking at me head to toe and then vigorously beginning a sweeping motion with this hands and arms without ever saying a word.
I responded "Yeah...sweeping....curling......it's awesome."
The 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games adventure has began.
