Sad Turn

I am having lunch at the USA House and catching up with a few USOC folks but a very somber mood has enveloped us here as news of a death on the luge track is currently being reported. Apparently an athlete from Georgia lost control at the fastest part of the track and was killed. So sad.

I am good friends with the head of USA Luge and was planning on trying to see him over the weekend.  This news has really shaken folks down here in Vancouver....I can only imagine what the community of lugers must be feeling right now.
